Miss Mallard  is a woman that is suffering in marriage. I realized that she was not very optimistic about her married life. The night before, she prayed for her life to be short. She had reached a point in life where she was ready to end things. When she learns that her husband had perished in the train accident, she goes through a series of feelings. She first reacts by weeping due to her loss but after the moment of grief goes away, she suddenly realized that she has been freed of the marriage that she did not want. She then has a sudden regret for asking for a short life and prays for a longer life, because now she has no need to end her life because she is free. She realizes that she was happy that he had died since it guaranteed her victory. She does not allow the other part to be revealed to others, so she chooses to go to her bedroom. Mrs. Mallard is overjoyed and continues to keep her secret. Wow Mrs. Mallard I still thinking about her freedom, her husband returns home something that makes her spirit sink again for reality hits her harder than she could take (she is still trapped in her marriage). The narrator really shows the irony of life and that miss Mallard was happy that she had eventually found her freedom and the death of her husband for her husband returns home safe and sound which terminates her quick celebration. once thought to be dead is now alive, miss Mallard who believe that she will live long enjoying her newfound freedom then drops dead. When the doctors examined her the results where joy had killed her. It was expected that his resurrection would make her happy to the point of getting a heart attack.
