Choose ONE of the stories and write an analysis that explores the impact of point of view in the story. Try to cover the following questions in about a paragraph each and include quoted textual evidence in each one:
–How does the point of view work in the story you chose? Is it first person or third person narration? How much of the story is revealed through the main character’s thoughts vs. the character’s actions or through dialogue with other characters?
–How does the chosen point of view affect your understanding of the main character and his situation in the story?
–Where does the story offer important insight into the main character that is related to the theme of change or transformation?
–How could you connect this story to one other story we’ve read so far? The connection you make can be based on a theme/ idea or you can focus on an element of fiction like character, setting, or conflict.
