For this project, you will choose from one of the options below.
OPTION 1: CREATE A COMIC
Choose a work from class and create a comic version.
You can mix and match any of these . Or you can do a search and find comic pages of your own.
Project Requirements:
- You must include an explanation of how you went about creating your comic and how you made your choices as far as what to include and how to represent it;
- Your comic must have a cover that you design;
- Your comic must be a minimum of 3 comic pages.
- Your comic must cover the important aspects of the work.
Comics can be any combination of hand-drawn, computer graphics program drawn, or pre-existing graphics that fit your story. If anything is hand-drawn, it must be scanned into a file in order to be submitted into the assignment drobox.
OPTION 2: MAKING CONNECTIONS
Choose 1 work from the class readings and find other works from outside the class that connect to the original in some way. This can be through theme, issue, character, setting, and more.
After choosing the work, find any three from the list below:
- Another work of fictionbook, short story, graphic novel
- A work of art;
- A movie;
- A television show;
- A song;
- A video game
Once youve made your choices and have a total of 3 works, create a separate page for each with the title of the work. Each work/page should include:
- A paragraph relaying relevant information about the work such as
- What it is/what it looks like;
- What its about/what its subject matter is;
- Why you chose the particular work;
- A paragraph exploring how the work is connected to the original you chose.
- Any visuals, lyrics, media, etc. that support your ideas about how the work is connected and an explanation of how they are connected.
