A book review is not a summary. It is an evaluation or critique of the main argument and overall perspective of the author(s) in light of this courses perspectives and subject matter.

Some questions to consider are: What is the authors objective? Does she or he accomplish this objective and how? Is his or her argumentation in line with your understanding of the subject. What new information did you discover? What information do you question the validity of and why? What are the strengths of the book? Weaknesses? Would you recommend this book to others? If so, to whom and why? If not, why not?
