Research
You must focus your research on sources that are appropriate for dissertation research. For purposes of this assignment, these include:
•Actual federal and state statutes
•Peer-reviewed journal articles
•Scholarly books
•Articles from major newspapers
•Reports from major public policy organizations.
•You may cite the reading materials from the course, including textbooks, in the proposal, as you demonstrate your understanding of research methods. However, as you move forward with your research it will be necessary to cite the primary source. For example, a scholar utilizing a grounded theory method necessarily will need to cite Glaser and Strauss.
