Step 1: Read the Article
by Ariel Bleicher and Katherine Conrad was published in the summer of 2020 in the University of California – San Francisco magazine. It compiles information from the studies being done at that university along with information learned in other studies during the spring/summer of 2020.
Step 2: Complete the Handout – Summary
Using the information from the article, answer the questions in the first section of the handout, Article Summary. (Typical, thorough answers should be about one paragraph in length. Bulleted lists are okay when simply listing things; if you need to explain something, dont use a bulleted list.)
Step 3: Complete the Handout – Application
Using the information from the article, answer the questions in the second section of the handout, Article Application. In this section you will be thinking critically about the information in the article and how you think it should be applied (hypothetically) to the real world pandemic happening now. Your ideas must be plausible (e.g. it is not plausible to send everyone that is at-risk to the middle of Wyoming until the pandemic is over) but you are not actually going to implement them.
