Guidelines:
Your essay should begin with an introductory paragraph that explains why the question is important to answer, as well as a single, crisp sentence that answers the assigned question “in a nutshell.” Please note that the question is not asking you to prove “whether” Jesus fulfills the Old Testament, but to describe “how."
Your essay should end with a concluding paragraph that summarizes what you’ve said since your introduction, ties it all together, and re-emphasizes why it is important.
In between the introduction and conclusion, you should develop your answer to the question prompt, and make sure that your answer demonstrates to the instructor that you have mastered the assigned readings.
Your essay should be formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition using footnotes to cite your sources in the text and a bibliography at the end. Generally, when citing Church Documents it is customary to use the paragraph number instead of the page number. (Sample Citations for Catholic Sources)
Your essay should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) or as an Adobe PDF (.pdf). Please avoid using Apple Pages (.pages) or OpenOffice/LibreOffice (.odt), as these are not compatible with Blackboard.
Spacing: Double spaced
Font: 12pt Times New Roman
Margins” 1” margins.
Your citations and bibliography will be included in your word count. Please take care to stay between 2,400 – 2,600 words total.

Grading Criteria:

How well the essay completely answers the question asked above.
How well the essay conforms to the guidelines given above.
How thoroughly your paper discusses the biblical material covered in this class.
How well the essay utilizes the correct spelling, grammar, and tone for academic writing in the English language.
How well the essay appropriately cites all of its sources.
