  1. Based on your work in Worksheet 2, when the author of Hebrews uses/quotes the OT, does he do so in line with the original intent of the OT authors or the original meaning of the OT text? Give details and specifics. Provide some thoughts on the theological implications of your answer.
  2. What are the major options for understanding the figure of Melchizedek in Hebrews? Which, in your opinion, is the best, and why?
  3. What does the author mean when he says in Hebrews 6:4-6 that it is impossible to restore to repentance those who have fallen away? What repentance is it impossible to restore them to? Why is it impossible to restore them? How does this warning relate to some of the OT examples of apostasy given elsewhere in the letter?
Please base your posts on your reading of Cockerill, Schenck, and the text of Hebrews.
In addition to your initial thread, you must reply to 2 other classmates threads. Each reply must be 150-200 words in length and be substantive in content, adding to the discussion the classmate began in his/her original thread.
