Term ProjectThe purpose of this course is to improve your economic decision-making and increaseyour productivity as an employee or entrepreneur. In the future you may be required to:1. Come up with an idea.2. Research this idea.3. Clearly and effectively communicate this idea in a written paper.For this course, every student must complete a final project. You have a great deal offlexibility in choosing the particular subject of your project: It can be a proposal for anew company, a new product in an existing company, or a recommendation for animprovement regarding an existing product line or pricing strategy. The flexibility youare afforded provides quite a bit of freedom in deciding the topic. Pick a topic in whichyou have either some particular knowledge or a keen interest (or both).You must locate data, analyze the data through the techniques developed in thiscourse, and make inferences from this analysis as part of your project.The grade of each portion of the project will be based on1. Creativity2. Effectiveness3. Demonstration of the techniques learned in the courseThere is no fixed length for the project, but a reasonable length would be 15 pages ofdouble-spaced prose in addition to references, figures, tables, and any other supportinginformation.Please see the other handout on Writing an Empirical Project for suggestions onstructuring the write-up of your project.
