15 Aug Strategic Plan: Comparative Analysis Project

1. Through the Strategic Plans:  Comparative Analysis Project, students will develop an in-depth understanding of the strategic planning process utilized by school districts as a means of effective governance and operations.  Utilizing a comparative analysis process, students will compare key components of one districts strategic plan with that of their own district including:  vision and mission statements, goals and strategic objectives, stakeholder engagement practices, how the plan is communicated to constituencies, procedures for evaluating the plans, the role of the superintendent in facilitating the process, and will make improvement recommendations for each plan.

   Students will submit an integrated written paper for their Strategic Plans:  Comparative Analysis Project using Microsoft Word and APA (6^th Edition) writing style.  Strategic Plans:  Comparative Analysis Project Scoring Rubric will be utilized to evaluate the project.
