Step 1. Read chapters 16 and 17.

a) Choose one domestic or foreign policy issue. Use chapters 16 and 17 to guide your topic selection.

b) Research an academically acceptable news article to write your reflection.

c) Post the link to the article.

d) This should be addressed as American Government, not Texas Government.

Step 2: Read the Reflection Guidelines. Post an academic, professional reflection in 200 words or more.

This assignment requires you to reflect on a current event issue. Do not write a summary of a current event. Your assignment is to understand as much as you can about a current issue, and reflect on it. Your reflection should include the following.

Use the prompts or questions as headings when writing your post. See my sample.
A. You can explain the issue in your own words to show you have a basic understanding about the issue at hand (a paragraph).
B. Your paper reflects your opinion (one or two paragraphs).
C. How do you feel about the state of the issues?
D. How can any issues be corrected or improved?
E. Who can correct or change the problems?
F. How does this affect our society/your life/the future?

Step 3. Review correct formatting. (Use MLA , APA or Chicago Formatting. A copy of a URL will not receive credit.) (Links to an external site.) Provide at least one source to support your response.
