In pursuing the career of speech-language pathology, you are seeking to join the ranks of the healing professionals. Consider the idea that in almost all settings, you will encounter individuals and probably their families in some state of stress. Brainstorm some clinical populations you might encounter in various settings (child with Down syndrome in a public school, adolescent with autism in an outpatient clinic, adult in the hospital recovering from laryngeal surgery for cancer, etc.). In your post, write about two scenarios you envision (one with an impact on the phonatory system and the other with an impact on the respiratory system) and describe how you would show Christ to individuals and their families. Discuss your ideas on sharing your faith with those you serve.
