The final research paper represents the culmination of those critical conversations and writing techniques studied throughout the semester. There are two criteria with regard to subject matter: the subject of the paper must relate to healthcare and it must be a concern that is topical or current. You are to identify a significant healthcare concern and then explore what is happening with regard to that topic in modern medicine. The subject you choose might relate to trends in nursing, patient care, epidemiology, treatments, surgeries, insurance, technology, or pharmaceuticals. Though your personal experiences may provide the foundation for your writing, the paper should adopt a critical and objective perspective. Once you have identified the subject matter that you would like to explore, research the topic carefully in order to prepare for the final paper. 8-10 Pages in The finished research paper should be eight to ten pages, feature no less than three academic sources, and adhere to strict APA format. It must be typed in 12-point Times New Roman font, double spaced, with one inch margins. Be certain to include a title page, abstract, and a complete References page. (The page count for the essay does not include the title page, abstract, or References page.)
