The mission of the CMU PhysicianAssistant (PA) Program is to provide a learner-centered environment thateducates competent and compassionate PAs, committed to leading through servicein their career and communities.
– VISION
Our graduates will be agents ofexcellence and innovation in the delivery of quality healthcare whilepromoting health and wellness to the communities of Western Colorado and beyond.
THESE ARE THE GOALS: (These don’t necessarily need to be incorporated but it gives more background so you don’t have to do anymore research)
Goal1: CompetentPAs: Graduate competent PAs who demonstrate the knowledge andskills necessary for excellent medical practice.
How: Physician Assistant National CertificationExam (PANCE) first-time taker pass rate. The CMU Master of Physician AssistantStudies Program strives to have a PANCE first-time pass rate equal to orgreater than the national average
Goal2: Employment: Graduate PAs able to contribute to the delivery of healthcare Program goal of 95% of graduates are practicing PAs within one year ofgraduation.
How: Graduate data information from alumni survey
Goal3: Serving and Leading: Actively serving in their professional organization orcommunity.
How: Goal of at least 50% of students remainactive in community service during the didactic phase. The goal is measured byan audit of student community-service hours at the end of the didactic phase.
Goal4: Program Completion: Student-centered instruction that leads to programcompletion.
How: Goal of at least 90% of students graduatefrom the program.
