Valutis and Rubin?s (2016) study suggests low levels of conflict between social workers? personal and professiona

Valutis and Rubin’s (2016) study suggests low levels of conflict between social workers’ personal and professional values. Yet, Corey, Corey, and Corey (2019) note that some ethics violations are subtle and may go unrecognized in practice settings. The NASW Code of Ethics describes six ethical standards, which are relevant to the professional activities of all social workers: 1) social workers’ ethical responsibilities to clients, 2) social workers’ ethical responsibilities to colleagues, 3) social workers’ ethical responsibilities in practice settings, 4) social workers’ ethical responsibilities as professionals, 5) social workers’ ethical responsibilities to the social work profession, and 6) social workers’ ethical responsibilities to the broader society.

Take the example of “Kevin” from Chapter 1 (“A Case of Positive Ethics”) and describe what you believe to be the therapist’s ethical responsibilities in this situation. How would you respond under similar circumstances? If you have encountered a scenario like Kevin’s in your professional work, how did you and/or your colleagues resolve it? In your replies to at least two classmates, try to identify constructive solutions that you would consider incorporating into your own.

Your initial discussion board post should be at least 200-250 words in length. Please reference any additional materials you use for your example.
