The Reading for this Assignment:

Leading in Early Childhood
Davis, G., & Ryder, G. (2016). Leading in early childhood. SAGE.
Read Chapter 5. This resource is important because it scrutinizes numerous roles of childhood administrators and the normal challenges and opportunities they face. This book provides instructions on the role of an administrator.
Early-Childhood Education; “Child Care and Early Education: Most States Offer Preschool Programs and Rely on Multiple Funding Sources
Sparks, S. D. (2019). Early-childhood education; “child care and early education: Most states offer preschool programs and rely on multiple funding sources.” Education Week, 36.
This article is important because it describes how state early education programs and how they are funded.
Funding Head Start: What are the Issues?
Chafel, J. A. (1992). Funding Head Start: What are the issues? American Journal of Orthopsychiatry, 62(1), 921.
This resource is important because it indicates that because of budgetary constraints, the future Head Start appropriations will inevitably fall short of the amount needed to provide increased access to the program and sufficient improvement of its services.
