In addition to your text, this assignment WILL require you to conduct outside research. While there is not a specific page requirement, all data points must be addressed. All information is readily available through internet searches.
Your final research project has three parts:
In part one you will research and discuss the history (dates, people, legislation etc.), of the following forms of healthcare insurance:
- Employer provided/self-pay healthcare insurance,
- Medicare
- Medicaid
- Tricare
- Chips
In part two you will research and discuss the four health care models found in industrialized nations around the world (The Beveridge model, The Bismarck model, National Health Insurance or Tommy Douglas model, and the out-of-pocket model).
In part three, you will align each of the insurance types (part one) with one of the four models (part two) and explain why you made this selection.
