Imagine you have been asked to present training to a group of newly hired police officers. Part of the training program is to teach de-escalation techniques and policy. You have been asked to present on this topic You will develop a PowerPoint presentation that addresses de-escalation policies and/or a use-of-force policy in police departments.
Using your favorite web browser, search the internet for a police departments de-escalation policy. A police departments de-escalation policy is often listed in the police manual or training manual.
Develop a PowerPoint presentation that includes one or more slides for each of the following topics concerning the departments de-escalation policy:
- de-escalation policys openness and transparency,
- de-escalation tactics and techniques,
- team tactics,
- communication,
- training, and
- avoiding re-escalation.
