Here is the question the essay should be on. QUESTION FOR DOMESTIC STUDENTS: What culture differences are there between the academic culture in Canadian higher education (with examples from Yorkville U) and the academic culture of your international student classmates (pick 1 culture ONLY)? Note that this question is the same as in Assignment 2, but this time you are writing a full essay, filling out your outline. Pease consult the comments from your instructor and improve according to the suggestions given and to your own understanding of what an essay should look like. Please write based BOTH on your observation AND on researching outside sources. Your examples need to be from both outside sources and your own observations, and data needs to come from outside sources. You can split own observations with outside sources at about 50/50. Please make sure to have a thesis statement summarizing the culture differences and include three distinct points to support your idea. Please follow the informative essay format discussed in the course materials. Please make sure NOT TO USE POINT FORM! You are writing in paragraphs. Check the Appendix in your textbook for examples on what an essay should look like. Use data and examples from outside sources to support your points, and make sure to cite and reference them correctly. DO NOT PAD your essay with long quotes and paraphrases from outside sources. Use your outside sources as support, not to build your arguments for you, otherwise you will not get a grade. Remember that you can only use half a sentence per page of direct quotes, and no more than 10% of your essay may be paraphrased. I would rather read a shorter essay and deduct some points for content not being detailed enough, than give you a zero for plagiarism. Remember to include your in-text citations and references, as well as quotation marks for direct quotes. If you forget any of these, your essay is plagiarized and you will not be graded for it. Remember that no resubmissions are accepted in this course, regardless of the reason. I will not be negotiating with you, so you might as well save your time and mine and accept your grade.
