OPINION:
Social networking is extremely valuable these days. It is one of the most popular forms of communication that allows people from all over the world to be able to come together and reach one another. In terms of marketing, it is an extremely useful tool. Major organizations such as Coca-Cola, KFC, or Bank of America can use social networking sites to reach their customers on many levels. KFC, for example, regularly uses their Twitter account to interact with customers and fans and draw attention to their brand. Their social media ambassador often uses comedic approaches to attract customers. For instance, KFC and Popeyes once went back and forth debating who had the best chicken. Although the short interaction on Twitter was all fun and games, it attracted more customers for both brands simply because the conversation between both organizations was funny. Bank of America uses Twitter as well, and when customers tweet complaining about their experiences, a bot responds asking the user for more information in an effort to solve their problem.
