31 Aug Establishing an HIV testing mobile clinic to offer services to the rural community in the Dominican Republic
Instructions for the content of the presentation:
Purpose of the Proposal: Establish a mobile clinic to offer HIV testing and education services to the rural community in the Dominican Republic.
Members of the Professional Team:
• Registered Nurse
• Peer Mentor
• Health Educator
• Medical Consultant – will not be in the mobile unit but will serve as a consultant/referral of new cases
The team will focus on two main areas:
1. Prevention of new cases of HIV
2. Detect new cases and link with care
Project Financing
• Apply for financial aid to:
· National Strategic Plan for the Response to STIs and HIV and AIDS 2019-2023
· Pan American Health Organization
· Private Donations
Create, change or form new policies and associations for the care of people living with HIV
Set measurable goals and objectives – project establishment should be one year
The central interventions are HIV detection tests and HIV prevention education.
Describe the stages of implementation of the plan and activities to measure the effectiveness
Instruction for the presentation format:
1. APA formatted presentation (PowerPoint®)
2. The presentation should be a minimum of 25 slides.
a. The presentation requires an introduction and conclusion, and the slides need titles and subtitles.
b. It is required at least two slides for each of the topics listed above.
c. All content slides require detailed speaker notes.
3. Support the ideas with at least six (6) scholarly citations – no more than 2017 to 2021.
4. Use strict APA 7 guidelines.
5. The work should be written in an active voice, not using a passive voice in sentences.
