Read the article “Rocks on the Menu” then discuss how gaining a knowledge about microbes that obtain energy from something other than sunlight or complex organic molecules (that is, by Anaerobic respiration) can be useful in what may seem to be oddball or unusual situations. How about living on Mars for example.
