31 Aug Theory Application Paper
Apply one case family to TWOfamily therapy theories. The paper should be written in the third person andstructured as follows:
1. Case Family: Briefly (inone paragraph or half a page) introduce the case family.
2. Theory Application: This paperwill cover the following family therapies:
(a) Bowenian family therapy and
(b) Virginia Satirscommunications approach.
From the perspective of eachof these two theories,
(a) provide a theory-based assessmentof the family and
(b) provide an overview of howtreatment might proceed, including theory-based goals and a clear descriptionof two theory-based interventions (intervention description: what might thetherapist do or say).
3. Sociocultural Attunement:Students will discuss the socio-cultural issues as they pertain to the casefamily. Concepts and ideas from the e-book provided may be applied.
A loosely example paper will be provided, along with details about the case family. Additionally, an e-book containing information about the two theories is provided and specified in the word document as chapters 06 and 08, respectively. It is encouraged to pull from this resource and provide references within the paper. Additional references are needed and examples of good sources are cited within the example paper provided.
