What is one takeaway you learned from reading the Internship Handbook?
The main thing I took away from reading the internship handbook is that there is so much more preparation involved in this class, than other theological classes. Rather than reading a textbook, and submitting an assignment, you will be directly involved with people, families, and a plethora of world views, and preformed, prejudged expectations of people. A uniformed, approved and acceptable, Christian attitude is imperative at all times. As representatives of the Christian faith, future religious leaders, and CIU, so we are not affected personally, as we learn, shadow, and interview, we must constantly be in prayer, seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit, in addition to fully completing all assigned course work ahead of time as to be fully prepared for the in person assignments. I also noticed there was not a specific, course study, prerequisite required, or hours needed for chaplaincy which, is my concentration.
