Read the following literature:

(Hay) Chapter 11 “Spiritual Life” p. 131-139 by Jaap Ketelaar and Rachel Murray

(Hay) Chapter 12 “Spiritual Life: Spiritual Warfare” p. 141-148 by Japp Ketelaar and Alan McMahon

Study the “Practical Tips for a Vital Spiritual Life” in Powell, p. 88-89.

(Powell) “Missionary Stressors and Implications for Care” by Joan Carter, 101-105

(Powell) “Stress and Coping: Learning How to Be Resilient” by Jan Yeaman, 107-117

(Powell) “Maintaining Spiritual Vitality: Spiritual Resources for Tough Times” by Lareau Lindquist, p. 88-89

Week 4 — Theology of Culture:

5. During the first home assignment workers anticipate a season of high stress.

 

6. The Care Provider’s role is to help set expectations for the first home assignment.
