Imagine that an earthquake has struck your homes, whatever you consider that to be. Because it is not certain  that the homes are structurally safe, the authorities have roped off the  neighborhood and no one is allowed to enter her or his home. You have  persuaded the authorities to allow you to quickly run into your home and  retrieve a few things.
