Introduction

Mood stabilizers: is an agent that is used to treat acute manic and depressive symptoms with bipolar disorder. After many trials on the mood stabilizers, it has been stated that, “mood stabilizer if it has efficacy in decreasing the frequency or severity of any type of episode in bipolar disorder and if it does not worsen the frequency or severity of other types of episodes”(1-3).

Antianxiety Agents: is a list of drugs used to treat anxiety and other conditions. When used for anxiety it increases the levels of serotonin and neurotransmitter that then changes the mood for the person experiencing anxiety.

In this presentation we are going to cover a few factors on mood stabilizers and antianxiety agents. Both agents are used to treat different mental health illnesses. One is prescribed for patients with bipolar disorder and the other for anxiety. Nicole Jones
