Imagine you are assigned to work with a group of pregnant women with one of the following dependencies;  Opioid 

 The women expressed concerns about their addictions and the impact on the fetus.  You will work with a health and wellness team to develop a mental health education program to help the women quit.      

• Review McCollum's Model of Mental Health Education on pg. 45. 
• Step 1. How would you go about designing a program for these women? (Population background and statistic, prevalence of the disorder, disorder overview, treatment location, and cultural implications) 
• Step 2.  Identify and discuss the screening/assessment tool and program admission criteria.
• What behavioral theory or model would apply? Describe.
