For this second essay, compose an essay wherein you explore at least three similar archetypes in at least three cultural traditions we studied other than ancient Greece to explain how these similarities might be explained from one externalist and one internalist critical approach. In other words, you will need to identify and discuss various origin mythologies in terms of their similarities, as well as to apply one externalist AND one internalist method to explain/interpret the similarities you identify.
In our study of comparative mythology, we studied the importance of archetypes to the identification of key similarities between various cultural traditions, as well as how these common archetypes might be explained through various externalist and internalist approaches. In preparation for this essay, you will need to identify at least three archetypes which exist in multiple traditions–other than ancient Greece–which explain the mythic origins of the universe.
This essay should be a thesis-driven argument which cites and explains relevant source materials from the lessons and myths provided in this course shell. It should make every attempt to conform to MLA format and should be approximately 1,000 – 1,500 words in length, or 4-6 pages, not including the works cited page.
