After being exposed to both theoretical traditions, provide your take on the classical school of criminology and the positivistic school of criminology. Which approach do you think has had a larger impact on our criminal justice system? On a related note, which has been more relevant for the evolution of criminology as a viable scientific field? What parts of each school do you find compelling, and which do you find to be somewhat of a stretch? Lastly, which approach to you embrace and why?
