***Part 1: Develop your opening paragraph and background of the study or problem. The opening paragraph/statement should bring the reader into the topic, while the background of the study/problem should frame the problem and identify the gaps and/or deficiencies from prior research. It is important to present why the study should be pursued and for whom the study is important.
***Part 2: Develop your Problem Statement, Purpose of the Study, and Research Questions/Hypotheses sections.
***Part 3: Develop the Nature of the Study
For part of this assignment, you will develop the Nature of the Study section. The Nature of the Study should provide a synopsis and justification of the research method and design for your study. These elements should be in line with the problem, purpose, and research questions developed earlier in this class.
Remember, too, that the method is your general approach (qualitative, quantitative, mixed method), and the design (case study, phenomenology, correlational, etc.) will fall within the method you chose.

Combined, these sections should be 3-4 pages long. You may use previous coursework and/or the following worksheets when developing your dissertation phase deliverables.
