Learners must develop an introduction essay with the expectations of the course using
the following prompts. The essay must have a minimum of 5 paragraphs and a
maximum of 2 pages. (plagiarism less than 20%) APA style edition 7 with the answer to these 5 questions.
1. What is your professional or career goal and why is this course important? (the course is “advanced pathophysiology and the Goals of a nurse practitioner)
2. Describe your language proficiency entering this course. (I speak Spanish and English as my second language) English classes.
3. What is your knowledge or work experience background that prepares you for
this course? (background- I have worked in a medical office with a dermatologist for 10 years, worked as a nurse for 3 years on a medsurg and telemetry floor, and was an ICU nurse for the last year in a hospital)
4. Describe your strengths and weaknesses as a student
5. What are your expectations of the course based on the described objectives?
