For your first assignment, you will be doing an industry analysis on an organization based on the materials covered in Modules 1-3.  For this assignment, select a small-to-medium-sized business that is publically traded.  You can locate a list of such companies at Yahoo! FinanceLinks to an external site..  My recommendation is that you select a company that you might be familiar with but with ample news coverage.  Avoid private companies.  Private companies have limited data available about them. 

Take your time with this decision.  You will be using this company multiple times. Responses for this assignment average 1,200 words. 

Also, while it is tempting to partner with someone to collaborate on ideas and spread the effort, this is your assessment of a corporate situation. This system will identify highly similar papers and we do not need to go down that road.
