Prepare:
· Consider your selected HSO and the operational problems that may be associated with it.
· Research and select one operational problem on which to focus.
· Consider the various people and groups that are impacted by the operational problem.
Requirement:
· Describe the operational problem that you selected within your selected HSO.
· Identify the stakeholders that are impacted by this operational problem and explain how they are impacted.
· Explain how root or underlying causes of the operational problem are identified.
· Explain what a target state is and how you might use a target state in determining solutions.
· Explain the concept of process improvement flow charts and how they can be used to address operational problems. Include an example of a process flow chart that might be applicable to this problem. ( Note: Simply including an example of a process chart is insufficient; you must identify and apply a proposed process flow chart.)
· Identify the data that is needed to support the operational problem.
· Explain where that data resides (patients, families, suppliers, payors, vendors, processes, EHRs, surveys, focus groups, dashboards, etc.).
· Explain why selecting the proper data is important and explain why you selected this data.
· Support your responses with evidence from scholarly resources.
