Emergent states have an effect on the levels of motivation that team members experience. Motivation therefore merits specific attention. The five motivational states are as follows: Confidence, Trust, Safety, Cohesion, and Interdependence

• Discuss 1 motivational theory, and identify 1–2 motivational states that your selected theory supports as well as 1–2 motivational states that your theory does not support. Explain why.
