In this third milestone, you will have the opportunity to employ the plan, do, study, and act (PDSA) cycle to address, resolve, and reevaluate the quality issue that you selected in Milestone One and for which you completed a force field analysis (FFA) in Milestone Two. PDSA is a viable strategy that is often used in healthcare organizations as part of continuous quality improvement (CQI). The experience gained from this assignment will ideally assist you in quality initiatives of which you may be a part of in your professional career. Any feedback that is provided to you in this and other milestones is to be incorporated into your final project.
