The perception of most Americans is that marriage should be based on love. The statistics, however, may shock you.  Over 50% of US marriages, based on the supposedly superior method of love, end in divorce, with marriage lasting an average of just over 7 years.  Only 1% of arranged marriages end in divorce.

Looking at arranged marriage from the inside, we get quite a different perspective of them.  How does Sita view her impending marriage, and her parents' efforts to arrange it? What reasons does she give for her attitude? How is an arranged marriage any different than, say, internet dating?
