Reflective Essay
For this assignment, you will compose an analytical essay about your course growth. The purpose of the assignment is to reflect mindfully on your ENG 112 experience in a focused, supported essay.
Assignment Guidelines
· Your essay must follow a formal essay structure, to include an intro with a detailed thesis, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.
· Your essay must be two pages in MLA format.
· In your intro, you should provide an overview of your experience in class and end with a specific thesis that argues how you developed and two or three major reasons/examples of growth.
· In each body paragraph, you should use specific examples (quotes or detailed references). The evidence for this assignment is your course work. Feel free to quote your own writing or materials from your textbook or handouts.
· In your conclusion, you should summarize your main points and end by arguing ENG 112’s significance. This is a great place to connect to the future: how will you use this class for future classes and life experiences?
· While the overall tone is formal, you should use first person for this assignment.
