Create a 10 slide digital presentation to families of K-2 students on back to school night to provide them with an understanding of each of the five components of reading development (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension) and how they work together.

Include the following in your presentation:

• An explanation of each of the five components of reading instruction 
• and their importance in literacy instruction
• Evidence-based approaches for teaching the components and how these approaches meet the needs of all students in the classroom 
• Examples of developmentally appropriate instructional activities you will use in the classroom that support development of each of the five components of reading instruction.
• Suggested literacy extension activities that involve home and family and create connections in varied contexts.
• Presenter’s notes, a title page, and references.

Support your presentation with at least three scholarly resources.
