1. You need to brief the media about the PCB Chemical fire, as discussed in class on Thursday. Outline 3-4 points you will need to convey to the public about the ongoing situation, from the perspective you took in the small groups. Upload these into Canvas before class tomorrow, we will use them during our synchronous session.
2.Watch the following video and outline the key points that were delivered for the following questions:
What problem did they define?
Who is in charge?
When will more information be provided
What could they have done better.
3.Identify an example over the last 5 years of a crisis response that went particularly well. This can be anything from your work life, or a local/state/national level example. Answer the following questions about the situation:
What was the main problem that needed to be resolved in this crisis?
Who was the lead organization in the response? What organizations or other entities supported the response?
Based on what you now are beginning to understand about crisis response, why do you believe the response was effective?
