Objective: Students will learn about the impact of slavery in American society.

• Read Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 in the textbook Freedom on My Mind
• Students will write a summary of Chapter 5 and 6 in no more than a 1000 words combine. Students should summarize the main points of the readings.
