Part I:
Topic: A thorough analysis of the employability of children on the autism spectrum.
Scope and value: My research on the employability of students and graduates with autism will focus on exploring the challenges they encounter in the job market and identifying effective strategies to facilitate their successful integration into the workforce.
The goal of this study is to enhance awareness of the various factors influencing the employability of individuals on the autism spectrum and to pinpoint best practices that can promote their successful employment outcomes.
Communication medium:
I will convey my project through storytelling, incorporating visuals and tailoring my approach to resonate with my audience.
To ensure my presentation stands out, I will invest time in researching my audience's background and interests. I plan to foster engagement by inviting questions, seeking feedback, and encouraging open discussion. Additionally, I will include interactive elements like videos and animations to enhance the overall experience
Critical thinking questions:
1. What obstacles might individuals with autism face when seeking and sustaining employment?
2. In what ways can employers facilitate the successful employment of individuals with autism?
3. What experiences do individuals with autism have in the workplace, and how do they perceive the challenges and successes they have faced?
Part II:
For my project, I will utilize a variety of sources, including peer-reviewed academic journals, government reports, and resources from non-profit organizations like the Autism Society, which provide valuable information on autism and employment. I also plan to have interviews with experts in the field and gather personal information from individuals with autism and their parents who have had workplace experiences, they tend to offer a unique insight on first hand experiences.
To ensure my project is supported by credible, current, reliable, accurate, and relevant information, I will meticulously evaluate my sources. I will prioritize peer-reviewed literature that is up-to-date and published by reputable organizations. I will also be cautious to avoid relying solely on anecdotal evidence or any sources that may be biased or lack credibility.
